Uniview at Californa Academy of Science

The new Morrison Planetarium, part of the California Academy of Sciences in San Fransisco, has decided to go with an institution-wide implementation of SCISS software application Uniview. Uniview will be used both in the Morrison Planetarium and by travelling researchers and outreach programs, leveraging also the capability to network Uniview sessions across different locations on our planet.

Sceduled to reopen in fall 2008, the new all-digital planetarium is situated in a new building created by world famous architecht Renzo Piano in collaboration with Stantec Architechture. The building has a strong environmental focus, with features such as a living roof, solar panels, water reclamation, reduced carbon footprint and a general focus on sustainablility.
