The Norrköping based company, Dreampark, has been tasked with producing a television portal using a graphic user interface aimed at the tenants living in the Ljura area within the New Homes for Health Project. New Homes for Health is a Project within New Tools for Health. It involves creating a test environment for future products and interactive services for health and care in the home. The assignment, awarded by Hyresbostäder i Norrköping together with New Homes for Health is aimed at highlighting products and services which will help to develop the overall housing situation for the tenants. The project will not only focus on care, which is otherwise the norm, but in this case will also look to the entire health situation including personal safety. The intention is to provide the tenant with the opportunity of affecting their own housing and living situation. This is as equally important as care, products and services aimed at health care.

The first step is to develop a graphic user interface and a number of minor, less complicated services with which each organisation can familiarise itself. At present the number of ideas and dreams are substantial and in turn some of the parties involved may wish to develop them further, this, however, may be dependent upon innovations achieved by Dreampark.

Hyresbostäder and New Homes for Health have chosen to work together on this Project to optimise the resources and ideas each organisation has regarding production of services and products. Hyresbostäder owns and manages the property in question at Ljura and is the natural contact for the tenants. This has made it possible for the organisation to gain an insight into present needs and future possible requirements. The driving force behind New Homes for Health is the desire to develop products and services which will benefit those people within the ageing in place category and to further develop accommodation situations. To provide products and services through a graphic user interface makes it possible for companies interested in testing their product and services packages in a unique test environment.

Examples of such services available for testing in the first step are:
• Reporting faults to Hyresbostäder
• Submitting a request for contact with the landlord
• Information to the tenants on various matters such as assistance with refuse collection; closure of utilities; street cleaning times etc.
Step 2 will include developing services involving booking of laundry times, rental payments via the television as well as mms pictures directly on the television screen.
