Our assignment: using unique, university-based resources establishing a creative and knowledge intensive environment to promote entrepreneurship, new enterprise and growth.

We promote enterprise of various kinds and welcome entrepreneurs and companies who recognise the advantages and opportunities of working and growing in a dynamic environment. We are especially attentive to business ideas which are related to the four profile areas we prioritise: Future Media technology, Printed Electronics, New tools for life, Competitive logistics. Through our association with the University we are able to offer peak competencies, often of world standing.

The location alongside the Strömmen in the heart of Norrköpings industrial landscape has, for many hundreds of years, been a meeting place for entrepreneurs, business men and industrialists. Guns and paper were being produced with the help of the waters from Strömmen way back in the 17^th century. During a transitional period Norrköping has slowly transformed to a logistics and knowledge hub. In the centre of the transformation stands the Industrial Landscape, with the stately factory buildings in red brick and yellow plaster continuously being refilled with new and exciting contents.

Norrköping Science Park, which abbreviates to NOSP,  is the result of the knowledge revolution. A conscious decision to develop Norrköping from an industrial city to a centre of knowledge in just a matter of a few decades. We started using the name ProNova Science Park in 1999 – two years after the establishment of Linköping University Campus Norrköping - located on the other side of the river.

We cooperate with property owners of the Industral Landscape and have at present an agreement with Klövern, the owner of the Pronova area. We also have letters of intent with property owners Ståhls, Lundbergs and Akademiska Hus.

Norrköping Science Park has an operational concept based on four corner stones:

The Person. Entrepreneurship, business administration with innovative capacity are examples of those qualities that can be developed. We see individual development as an obvious key to success and growth.

The Meeting. New ideas grow better in a group. Therefore we promote meeting, transference of competence and networking.

The Environment. Creativity is a fragile plant. We believe it must be nourished in a stimulating and inspiring environment.

The Courage. To dare is a requirement to succeed. With the right knowledge and the right resources, decisions become easier. We help you to take your first step. And the next one. And so on.

Behind the Norrköping Science Park Foundation is the Norrköping municipality, Linköping University and the private sector.

The operational work is conducted through the company, Norrköping Science Park AB which is owned by the Foundation.
